How to Uninstall freewindowscleaner

Method 1: From Windows Settings (Recommended)

  1. Open SettingsAppsInstalled apps (or Apps & Features on older Windows).
  2. Find freewindowscleaner in the list.
  3. Click Uninstall and follow the prompts.
  4. Restart your PC (optional, recommended).

Method 2: Using the Uninstaller

  1. Open the Start Menu and type freewindowscleaner Uninstaller, or
  2. Navigate to C:\Program Files\freewindowscleaner and double‑click Uninstall.exe.
  3. Follow the on‑screen instructions to remove the application.

Optional: Remove leftover data

freewindowscleaner stores temporary logs/settings in your user profile. These are safe to delete:

  • %LOCALAPPDATA%\freewindowscleaner
  • %APPDATA%\freewindowscleaner

Troubleshooting

  • Uninstall button is greyed out: Reboot Windows and try again. Ensure no background scans are running.
  • Installer/Uninstaller blocked by antivirus: Temporarily disable real‑time protection, complete uninstall, then re‑enable protection.
  • Still seeing startup entries: Press Ctrl+Shift+EscStartup apps and disable any remaining entries.
